GAP FINALLY Online….

After many years of being on our high streets GAP have finally decided to go E-Commerce!!!

GAP have traded online in the US for a number of years but have never introduced the online stores in the UK or internationally as they always felt this would pull sales from their high street stores.
I always found it extremely frustrating not being able to shop online for GAP clothing, even if it was just a reference to see what their new collections had in.
So when I heard the news I was very excited that they are finally going E-commerce.
Even better news; was that not only is GAP going to be online Banana Republic will also be available on the same site! Banana Republic is the sister company and is more high end corporate fashion with a few high end fashion items thrown in. Given that there is only one Banana Republic store in the UK and that is in London, going online is the perfect way to expand the brand without too much expenditure.
It launches at the end of the month and can’t wait to see, how this long awaited E-Commerce site will really engage there consumer by the navigation system, the ease of use and style and vibrancy of the site.
