Tim leads our Search Engine Optimisation strategy and joined Standout after having previously pursued a career in luxury hotel management at various locations around the world. With a Swiss business degree and an American hospitality degree, as well as having run his own hotel and restaurant, Tim has the perfect knowledge to make recommendations on how to get your brand or business to the top of Google.



My role is to optimise clients’ websites. This involves generating a keyword analysis of the website and then optimising each page within the site for targeted keywords. SERPS (search engine result pages / ranking position) are monitored to see how effective the targeted keyword campaign is progressing, depending on the results, pages may be changed again to produce the most effective results.

Part of my time is also spent “surfing” relevant sites, blogs , bookmarking sites,  relevant to clients sites. This helps to generate deep links within the site to internal pages and creating easier channels for search engines to find  sites. The biggest challenge is generating One Way (non reciprocal) high page rank links, these  links take the form of a targeted keyword and hyper linking them back to the clients website. This is intended to reinforce a keyword for search engines to associate with a site. My overall aim is to have our clients sites on page 1 of all search engine results.
