BRIEF
STANDOUT were given the task of designing and launching the first ever website for Scott’s Porage Oats.
This was launched in tangent with a promotional microsite referenced on promotional Scott’s Porage Oats packs in-store. The mascot figurine on the pack had never before been changed, until 2010 when Scott’s Porage partnered up with the Scottish Rugby Union to run rugby based promotions and place players on pack! These packs drove traffic to the new website and to play a rugby competition; spot the ball, on an additional competition microsite.

SOLUTION
Scott’s Porage Oats has a long-standing history that begs to be told! We have been working with Scott’s Porage Oats to compile and build relevant and inspiring information for the website including; visits to the Cupar factory, photography and interviewing members of staff to provide a relevant and content rich website.

STANDOUT has been also been working closely with Scott’s Porage and the Scottish Rugby Union throughout the rugby promotion to launch the competition microsite and eCRMs that are fully integrated with the campaign, helping build their database, promote the campaign and drive sales!

As well as building the site, launching and developing the online game and monthly eCRMs, as part of our on-going monthly services, we also provide the following services for the Scott’s Porage Oats online activity:

  • Weekly blog post, with compiled content
  • Monthly addition of YouTube content
  • 4 one-hour sessions a week of social engagement
  • A statisitics/reporting document

Standout’s social media management service is focused on the promotion of the brand and engagement of its consumers on digital social interfaces. This includes:

  • Replying to comments from consumers on Facebook
  • Replying to Tweets from consumers on Twitter
  • Proactively messaging Twitterers who mention the brand
  • Leaving Scott’s Porage positive comments on blogs relevant to the brand and it’s products
  • Posting Scott’s Porage articles to Digg and Reddit to spread the brand image
  • Commenting on YouTube videos that mention the brand, directing users to the Facebook page

When suppling analytics/statistics/insights reporting for the Scott’s Porage Oats online activity, we supply the following:

  • Top level analysis of the monthly figures
  • Consumer database growth – top level figures and analysis.
  • Central digital property (C.D.P.) report – number of visitors, bounce rate, traffic sources etc.
