Godiva eCommerce Campaign
Hotel Chocolat had led the online race in chocolate sales for many years and Godiva, a truly exceptional chocolate, was preparing to enter the competition.
Having met the brand manager on a train on a return journey from Hain Celestial (Rice Dream) in Belgium, they contacted us after receiving our credentials and extra information on Standout.
We were swiftly appointed to create a campaign and competition mechanism to increase sales of their limited edition chocolates to be promoted during the same time as the London Olympics.
The iconic packaging, created by leading Belgian art and design studio La Cambre, depicts a number of global city locations through iconic illustration.
The London packaging was our focus and the mechanic adopted was to win an overnight stay in London at one of the Pride of Britain Hotels. Whenever relevant and beneficial for all parties, we will marry our clients’ brands for dual marketing purposes and in this instance it was The Goring, The Arch London and The Capital hotels that would be the prizes in the Godiva competition. Godiva is an excellent product and at the luxury end of the chocolate market – so it was perfectly aligned to the luxury Pride of Britain Hotels.
